My Favorite Healthy Spots in Athens (That Actually Taste Good)

Athens has changed a lot over the past few years. There’s a new energy around food — more intention, better ingredients, and spaces that feel as good as what’s on the plate. I’m often asked where I actually eat when I’m not at home, so here are four places I genuinely go back to. Not because they’re “trendy,” but because they’re consistently good.
Here are the four places you’ll almost always find me:
1. Me Kolonaki
You will almost always find me at Me in Kolonaki. It’s one of those places that never disappoints. I usually order the pasta fresca with fresh cherry tomatoes or the pesto orecchiette — and yes, I clearly have a weakness for cherry tomatoes and pasta. It’s simple, fresh, and full of flavor without trying too hard. The kind of meal that feels light but still completely satisfying.

2. Peccati di Gola, Glyfada
If I’m in Glyfada, Peccati di Gola is a must. Their pizza is incredible, the carpaccio is always perfect, and the cherry tomato pasta (again) is something I order without even looking at the menu twice. It’s indulgent but balanced — proof that enjoying good food and feeling good afterward can coexist.

3. Ipirotissa
Ipirotissa is more of a ritual than just a stop. If I have meetings nearby, I always pass by and grab something. The food is simply good. Properly made and consistent. It’s the kind of place that reminds you that quality doesn’t need a label.
What I admire even more is how they’ve expanded over the years while maintaining excellence across everything — the bakery, the prepared food, the overall experience. Growing without compromising standards is something I deeply respect.

4. Healthy Kitchen, Argyroupoli
My everyday work lunches are usually delivered from Healthy Kitchen in Argyroupoli. I love their weekly menu concept — it makes eating well during busy weeks effortless. My go-to dishes are the burrito, the beef teriyaki rice bowl, and the lasagna. It’s balanced, portioned well, and gives me steady energy throughout the day — which, when you’re running a business, makes all the difference.
